Roots of Empathy is an evidence-based program that relies on local families who are willing to share their journey of attachment with their baby in a classroom over once-per-month sessions throughout the school year. This programs works to develop emotional literacy as children learn to identify the baby's feelings and needs, reflect on and understand their own feelings, and eventually understand the feelings of others.

M-M-I F.C.S.S has a trained instructor on staff who facilitates and enhances this learning opportunity during a pre-Family visit and a post-Family visit. 

Roots of Empathy is run within both Innisfree and Mannville Schools. 


Unfortunately, we will NOT be running this program during the 2021/2022 school year.
